A team from DM Intelligence, the State Key Laboratory of Respiratory Disease under Guangzhou Medical University and the school of life science of Sun Yat-sen University have screened thousands approved drugs and selected 51 drugs that may treat coronavirus. (click here for further information)
On February 1, DM Intelligence selected 4 drugs (Boceprevir, Abacavir, Bicyclol and Darunavir) mentioned above and carried out further tests. Meanwhile, a team lead by Zhejiang University professor Li Lanjuan found Darunavir to be effective in blocking the virus. Recently, Preliminary in-vitro testing showed the inhibition efficiency of Boceprevir and Bicyclol is 2.7/0.93 times of Darunavir.
